Opus Professional TP Digital PA System

The Opus Professional Digital PA system is a 4 wire matrix switched Low Power PA system suitable for internal installation in a variety of applications and also applicable to low power external installations.

Each PA unit is individually controlled via a 2 wire digital link, and contains its own amplifier, AGC circuit and individual volume control. The units can be daisy chained up to 16 units per connection, and multiple sites are catered for with a range of audio matrices which are compatible with microwave and fibre connections.

The PA units have a built in noise canceling microphone with AGC and individual level controls for the microphone. Peak level clipping is incorporated to avoid excessive audio levels when monitoring at high amplification.

Opus Professional TP Switch & Router

The Opus Professional Switch/Router is the heart of a distributed Opus Professional system. Field proven over a period of 11 years with exceptional reliability, the Opus Professional router is a firmware device which is responsible for data distribution over low speed networks.

Each switch/router has 12 data channels and each data channel can operate at 38,000 baud giving a very high cumulative data throughput. Each data channel can have a unique driver installed, hence one channel might control a matrix at 1,200 bauds, whilst another channel connects back to the centre at 38,000 bauds.

Typically a router would be installed on a remote site with a single data link back to the control centre. The remote site would then have 11 spare data channels for the control of multiplexers, matrices, pan/tilt cameras etc. In fact almost any device capable of being controlled by a serial connection can be connected to a router.  Where more connections are required, routers can be interconnected.

The router scheme provides a very economic and fast solution to the control of large schemes and as the data network is a star configuration, offers high redundancy with no common failure point.

Using identical hardware, the router is used in the control room with different software to integrate multiple workstations. Note that work stations can also be connected at remote site via the routers, and this feature is inherent to the Opus system.

Grovedime Ltd and their agents can provide a full configuration and commissioning service, and most of this work is carried out off site at our workshops. This avoids expensive on site commissioning and we have many examples of sites that have been fully up and running and operational within a few hours.

A smaller 5 channel version of the Router is available which on many schemes can offer a useful cost and space saving, and we can also provide add on alarm and relay modules for various general purpose control and monitoring.

Opus Professional TP Telemetry Controller

Using the Opus Professional Telemetry Controller the Opus Professional system can directly position a pan and tilt camera from the on-screen graphics.  The workstation is aware of the current camera position and indicates the camera orientation on the screen and can then re-position the camera by calculating the new position from the on screen (to scale) graphics. 

To put it in plain English, if you were to click on a graphical representation of a house on the on-screen graphics, then the PTZ camera would automatically move to provide you with a view of that house on your chosen monitor.

This facility can also be provided on some type of dome cameras.

Privacy zones can quickly and easily be set up within minutes from the workstation by anybody with sufficient system access rights, providing your camera hardware supports this facility.
